SuperBark Showcased at European Workshop on Lignocellulosics and Pulp 2024

SuperBark was presented at the 17th European Workshop on Lignocellulosics and Pulp 2024, showcasing innovations in wood chemistry and sustainable adhesives and coatings.

The SuperBark project was introduced during the 17th European Workshop on Lignocellulosics and Pulp (EWLP), held between 26-30th August 2024 and organized by Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland.

EWLP is a biennial event that brings together researchers, students, and industrial participants to discuss the latest advancements in lignocellulosic research. The conference covers a wide range of topics, including wood chemistry, lignocellulosic structures, analytical techniques, biorefinery technologies, and biotechnological approaches for producing new materials and products. SuperBark was introduced by Principal Scientist Petri Widsten from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd. The presentation focused on advancements in softwood bark polyphenol extraction and applications within SuperBark and other EU funded projects Miria, BioPhenom, and BarkBuild.
